Admission Criteria

Eligibility to follow the Diploma course in Laboratory Technology

• I. A minimum of three (03) pass grades at the G.C.E (Advanced Level) examination, Sri Lanka, in any three (03) of the following science-related subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Mathematics, Information & Communication Technology, Science for Technology, Engineering for Technology, Biosystems Technology, Agricultural Science, Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Botany, or Zoology;

OR

• II. Six (06) passes at the G.C.E (Ordinary Level) examination, including Mathematics and English, with at least a credit pass in science,

  AND

  • • Completion of a one-year Certificate Course in Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution

  Or

  • • One year of experience as a Laboratory Assistant/Technician in a recognized institution.

OR

• III. Completion of NVQF Level 4 in Laboratory Techniques.

OR

• IV. Any other equivalent qualification as approved by the Faculty Board of Science, EUSL. Approval
