Inauguration ceremony of Diploma in Information and Communication Technology was held 22nd September 2023 at Smart lecture hall, Faculty of Science, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The ceremony was graced Prof .V. Kanagasingam, Vice-Chancellor, Eastern University, Sri Lanka as Chief Guest. Senior Professor .P. Vinobaba, Dean, Faculty of Science attended the ceremony as Special guest, and Dr. T. Prabaharan, Director, Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses (CEDEC) delivered the welcome address at the gathering. Mr. K. Sakuntharaj, Programme Coordinator made the arrangements for the event

In addition to that Dr. (Mrs.) S. Sathananthan, Chairman, Board of Study, Dr. (Mrs.) J .Suresh, Coordinator/ Registration and Examination, Heads of departments, Faculty of Science, Academic staff of Faculty of Science CICT were participated.

Twenty nine students were selected for the program and the ceremony was ended with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Anojah V, Assistant Registrar, Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses.
