In a momentous event heralding academic achievement and new beginnings, the inauguration ceremony of the 2nd batch of Higher Diploma in Library and Information Sciences Programme unfolded with grandeur on 18th of October 2025 at the Auditorium, Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The event attracted a plethora of esteemed guests Dean/FAC, Director/CEDEC, Librarian, Chairman - Board of Study, Senior Assistant Librarians, Coordinator-Examinations & Registration/CEDEC, and eager students ready to embark on their educational journey The ceremony commenced with an air of anticipation as distinguished officials of Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
