Diploma Programmes

Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses (CEDEC), Eastern University, Sri Lanka is inviting applications for the following programmes from the suitable candidates.

 

Diploma in English

 

This programme is designed to provide knowledge and skills in the field of English Language Teaching. It provides the necessary advanced language skills for those in employments whose professional advancement in English language would be essential and for those who seek employment opportunities. This offers the opportunity for the participants to earn a qualification that will add value to their professional life.

Entry Requirements:

  1. A pass in the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) or an equivalent qualification,

    2. OR

  2. A foundation course equivalent to SLQF level 2 after a minimum of 12 years of schooling followed by passing an aptitude test,

    3. OR

  3. Completion of NVQF level 4 or accredited work experience or accredited prior learning followed by a corresponding cognitive bridging programme of minimum 30 credits as determined by the academic authority of the HEI concerned may also be considered as equivalent qualification for admission to SLQF level 3 in a particular field of specialization.

    4. OR

  4. An 'S' pass in the General English Language at G.C.E O/L with a pass at the (National) Certificate in English by a recognized Government Institution.

    5. OR

  5. Any other professional or academic qualification which would be accepted by the senate and the council of the university.

கலைத்துறையில் டிப்ளோமா
Diploma in Arts (SLQF 3)

 

கிழக்குப் பல்கலைக்கழக வெளிவாரிப் பட்டங்கள் மற்றும் விரிவாக்கல் கற்கைகள் நிலையமானது கலை கலாசார பீடத்துடன் இணைந்து ஒரு வருட காலம் கலைத்துறையில் டிப்ளோமா கற்கைநெறியை வழங்கவிருக்கின்றது.

நுழைவுத் தகமைகள்

  1. க.பொ.த. உயர்தரத்தில் ஏதாவது ஒரு பிரிவில் சித்தி பெற்றிருந்து, பல்கலைக்கழக நுழைவுத் தகைமை பெற்றிருத்தல் அல்லது அதற்குச் சமமான தகைமை பெற்றிருத்தல்.

    2. அல்லது

  2. குறைந்தது 12 வருடகாலப் பாடசாலைக் கல்வியுடன், SLQF மட்டம் 2 இற்குச் சமமான அடிப்படைப் பாடநெறியைப் பூர்த்திசெய்திருப்பதுடன், கிழக்குப் பல்கலைக்கழகம், இலங்கையால் நடத்தப்படும் உளச்சார்புப் பரீட்சையில் (Aptitude test) சித்தியடைதல்.

    3. அல்லது

  3. NVQ மட்டம் 4 ஐ பூர்த்தி செய்திருத்தல் அல்லது உத்தரவாதமளிக்கப்பட்ட தொழில் அனுபவம் அல்லது உத்தரவாதமளிக்கப்பட்ட முன்கற்றலுடன் உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனத்தின் கல்வி அதிகார சபையினால் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட அறிகைநிலை இணைப்பு நிகழ்ச்சித்திட்டத்தில் குறைந்தபட்சம் 30 அலகுகளை பூர்த்தி செய்திருத்தல், குறிப்பிட்ட பாடத்துறைக்கான SLQF மட்டம் 3 இற்கான அனுமதிக்கு சமனான தகைமையாக கருத்தில் கொள்ளப்படும்.

Diploma in Professional Business Coaching

 

Eastern University, Sri Lanka announces the commencement of Diploma in Professional Business Coaching programme, administered through the Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses (CEDEC) of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

Entry Requirements:

List the relevant GCE Advanced Level and minimum required qualification in the order of priority.

  1. Pass G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination conducted by the Department of Examination of Sri Lanka in any stream with at least three (03) passes

    2. OR

  2. Completion of a relevant foundation course/Advanced certificate course equivalent to SLQF Level 2 after a minimum of 12 years of schooling

    3. OR

  3. Completion of NVQ Level 4 with minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in business development services/ entrepreneurship/ business field

    4. OR

  4. Any other equivalent qualification accepted by the Senate, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

Diploma in Computer Based Accounting

 

Eastern University, Sri Lanka announces the commencement of Diploma in Computer Based Accounting programme, administered through the Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses (CEDEC) of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

Entry Requirements:

  1. Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination (G.C.E. O/L) with any six (06) subjects not more than one sitting including Mathematics and English.

    AND

    Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination (G.C.E. A/L) with three subjects in any discipline.

    2. OR

  2. Passed Level 1 AAT Examination/ Level I of Chartered Accountancy Sri Lanka (CASL)/ Foundation Level of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA-UK) or Foundation Level of Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA)/ Knowledge Module of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK)

    3. OR

  3. Any other equivalent qualification acceptable to the Senate upon the recommendation of the Board of Studies

This programme is designed to provide an opportunity for the participants to earn a professional qualification in HR, get tuned to the latest developments and best practices in HR and prepare the participants to handle the HR functions in an organization.

Entry Requirements:

  1. Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination (G.C.E. O/L) with any six (06) subjects not more than one sitting including Mathematics and English.

    AND

    Obtained three subjects in the G.C.E. Advanced level of any disciplines.
