The Senior National Basketball Championship is a national event in which all the District Clubs' Basketball teams take part to win the title. Three players from EUSL were selected for Sri Lanka National Universities Women team.

Inter-Faculty Championships-2019 was successfully conducted by the Physical Education Unit with the support of the Sports Council, Eastern University.

Physical Education organized the cricket coaching camp to promote cricket (Hard ball) in EUSL staff and students which was held on 25th of March 2017 successfully.

Our team to participate in this tournament which was organized by university of peradeniya held on 18th and 19th of March 2017

Physical Education and sports council conducted Inter faculty freshers sports meet 2017 successfully with the support of SAB and administer for, EUSL
Which was held on 13th to 18th of March 2017 from 1.30pm to 9.30pm at EUSL about 350 1st years’ students showed a keen Interest in 09 sports men/women
The faculty of Arts and Culture emerged as overall champion. Faculty of Agriculture and Technology overall runner-up. Faculty of Health Care Sciences overall 2nd runner-up.

Our team secured 2nd Runner up in the Inter University Kabaddi Championship – 2017 which was organized by University of Peradeniya in the 1st time on 28th of February – 2017

The Senior National Basketball tournament is an all Island event is which all the District clubs Basketball teams take part to win the title. Sri Lanka National Universities Basketball Teams which included 1 players out of 5 best players of EUSL for the men team and 2 players out of 5 best female players for the women team were selected form our University. The selection for the team was held at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka on 10Th of January 2017. Sri Lanka Universities Sports Association appointed Mr.M.Paranithasan Co ordinator in Physical Education from the EUSL as the sole head coach for the Sri Lanka national Universities teams this tournament was held form the 26th January to 05th of February 2017 in kandy and the women’s combine University teams won the silver medals in the all island level national tournament.

The Annual General meeting of Sri Lanka universities sports Association – 2017 which was held on 17th of January – 2017 at university of Ruhuna Mr.P.Paramathevan Chairman SAB, EUSL Mr.M.Paranithasan (Co-ordinator/ PE)Are took part in this meeting

The Sri Lanka University Games 2016 (SLUG 2016) main events were held form September 1st to 13th 2016, was organized by Wayamba University of Sri Lanka in collaboration with Sri Lanka University Sports Association. Unlike annual Inter University tournaments; SLUG conducted once in every 3 years and organizing University is responsible for conduction of all events, accommodation etc. More than 300 students both boys and girls interested in sports activities took part from our University for various sports. The results of events that our students have won shown below.
