The Senior National Basketball tournament is an all Island event is which all the District clubs Basketball teams take part to win the title. Sri Lanka National Universities Basketball Teams which included 1 players out of 5 best players of EUSL for the men team and 2 players out of 5 best female players for the women team were selected form our University. The selection for the team was held at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka on 10Th of January 2017. Sri Lanka Universities Sports Association appointed Mr.M.Paranithasan Co ordinator in Physical Education from the EUSL as the sole head coach for the Sri Lanka national Universities teams this tournament was held form the 26th January to 05th of February 2017 in kandy and the women’s combine University teams won the silver medals in the all island level national tournament.
