Printed Periodicals Collection of Library, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
The Periodicals section of the Library has local and foreign periodicals either as a donation or subscription. The periodicals comprise of Journals, Conference Proceedings, Magazines, Annual reports, Gazettes, Acts, Newsletters and Newspapers. The Periodicals are accessible in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages. And also, local Newspapers in all languages have arranged in the section. The publications of Eastern University are existing as EUSL collections in the Periodicals section of the library. The other University’s and various institute’s publications are also obtainable in the library.
The bound volumes of periodicals are valuable collections in this section. The periodical services such as SDI Service (Selective Dissemination of Information) through e-mail, Current Awareness Services such as Current Content services and email alerts are practiced for the benefit of library users of Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
